Free stone stream - early May 2013

I spent many trips this summer fishing this brook, always with great success. The lafontaine caddis pupa was great this day. Later in the year the Ausable bomber was usually the fly.

Often on each drift Ill have multiple strikes before a fish finally hits the hook. Almost all of the wild brook trout here are of the 4-8 inch size, although I have seen some larger darting around.

These Fish were absolutely gorgeous as they were starting to develop their summer colors.
